Back to Japan. 🇯🇵
In the latter half of maintenance section, I did all the things as much as I can such as finishing fixing, re-assembling parts which were taken to pieces once, and making and setting a dashboard for GPS and auto pilot.
Today, I have a great, delighted news here. FURUNO decided to support my challenge!
As sailors and marine people know, FURUNO is a Japanese electronics company which has subsidiaries over the globe. Their main products are marine electronics including radar systems, fish finders and navigational instruments. They provided their newest GPS to my boat! In France during my last staying, I was thinking to replace my GPS to new one and researched around. Many mini sailors use FURUNO’s ones and recommended them to me. After come back to Japan, I contacted to FURUNO. Actually it was first time for them to talk with me, but they were really kind to listen to my story. Fortunately, they decided to provide their product to my boat. When I heard about their supporting my project, I was almost flying. In addition, FURUNO provides me not only their products but also waypoints data for Mini Transat which is over 2,000, actually.
Their support encouraged me so much. Thank you so much FURUNO! I cannot express my appreciation enough for team FURUNO.
I’m really looking forward to sailing with FURUNO’s GPS in next season!
